Bethanie is a self taught, full time wood worker. She began her career as a hobby and a way to wind down after she came home from her 9-5 job in social work. Using a very old lathe and dull tools in her husbands wood shop is where she fell in love with the craft. Through youtube videos and a day spent with a local turner to perfect her bowl turning, she jumped in with both feet and hasn’t looked back. All of the wood that Bethanie uses is locally and sustainably sourced in Ontario. She will use pieces of wood that would otherwise end up in a landfill or a fire pit, and turn it into a functional piece for your home.
